Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the industrial relations function and ensure compliance with legislation.

  • To evaluate, adapt and develop and implement structures, policies, and procedures that will result in fair and consistent labour practices and ensures communication between management and employees.

  • To provide training and information to Management and supervisors.

  • To manage union activities and relevant logistics pertaining to the collective bargaining process.

  • Ensure that labour disputes and grievances are minimised.

  • Promote innovative and continuous improvement in IR practices.

  • To advise management on the legislation.

  • To manage the disciplinary process

  • To manage the recruitment process.

  • To manage the communication process.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Tertiary Qualification specialising in Industrial Relations.

  • Six years HR Generalist Supervisory experience.

  • Computer literate with exposure to VIP HR Premier will be advantageous.

  • Excellent knowledge of Labour legislation and the CCMA rules and regulations.

  • Experience in wage negotiations and the resolution thereof will be advantageous.
